Pokémon UNITE continues to be supported by their developers, with new characters, events, and gameplay mechanics. The game is insanely popular on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile digital storefronts, even being nominated for the Best Mobile Game category at The Game Awards.

The Pokémon Company announced today in a tweet that Decidueye is now available in the game. Decidueye, a Grass and Ghost type Pokémon, is the fully evolved form of Rowlet, the Grass starter who made its debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Decidueye is being advertised as a ranged attacker, making this character a good fit for those who prefer to keep their distance from enemy players. Decidueye resembles a hooded archer, which is reflected in its moves that involve shooting arrows at enemies among whilwinds of leaves. As with most new character releases, balancing may be necessary post-launch, so players can expect an update within the coming days.

Decidueye is available today in Pokémon UNITE on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. The game is free to download on the Nintendo eShop, App Store and Google Play Store, so take a chance if you're thinking about trying it out!

Team up!
